These digital identity checks,
passwords,
check in codes
befuddle me.
Is it written in the stars
that I now ask
if there’s any place where
facial recognition technology
relies on meeting face to face
in real time?
If there is, can I go there?

I love it, though without those recognition system you may have identity theft… it is scary when you have it and scarier when you don’t

True. It is baffling to attempt to navigate some to the systems the government is putting in place over here in Australia though.

You’ve set one of my greatest frustrations to poetry, Suzanne, Well done.

Haven’t had to deal with the government for a long while and have forgotten. Let’s hope all works out. Breathe.

They sent me an email hours later saying my actions had been successful! They could have told me that in the first place. It’s amazing how often you need to go to register with government web sites these days over here – frightening really.

Yes, it is scary. Same in SA.

Thanks so much Helen. Yes, wouldn’t it be good (and simpler) to meet face to face for much of the business we do online these days.

That’s a place I long for as well. Human contact–it would solve a lot of problems I think. (K)

Yes, it would make life a lot easier if you could explain yourself and your needs to authority figures face to face I think.

By the time you even get to talk to an actual human, you’ve passed through layers of computer voices and prompts–so you’re already angry. At least I always am.

Yes. It is so stressful. It feels like they are doing it on purpose sometimes.

Suzanne, if there is, please take me with you too!

Yes, of course. You are very welcome – I just have to find the place first. 🙂

Seriously… how did texting replace actually meeting up… and yet so many think it is a fair upgrade.

I had a moment with a government web site this morning that nearly had me pulling my hair out by the roots – hence the poem 🙂

At times, I believe my mind is filled with nothing but passwords, so I can relate. Nice poem.
