I was going to do this challenge https://sillarit.com/2020/12/28/countdown-to-2021-28/ but found I was too tired after Christmas to go out and take new photos. Today was the first day I ‘ve been out for walk with my camera. The sun came out at long last and it finally felt like Aussie summer weather.
This is the season when the eucalypts lose their bark. It seems like a fitting symbol for the countdown to new year. I’ll post a photo collage to make up for the days I missed.

Butterflies were flitting all around me as I walked – another symbol of transformation.

I love your bark shots – especially the three in the top left corner that remind me of abstract paintings. And I really like the collage.

Thanks 🙂 I’m glad I managed to get out for a walk then. The sunshine appears to have been our one day of summer. Since then we have returned to the grey overcast skies that have shrouded our world here for much of 2020.

Beautiful textures. I lived in Australia for few years when younger, and visited 2019. Lovely country.

Thanks. It is good how the internet makes other places in the world part of our understanding. Your photos of Slovakia are stunning. I’ve never been anywhere that looks like that.
